I'm walking...and with a purpose too!

Here's a cute video of Drake walking...and falling...and of course not minding
either...

And we can't leave out one of our favorite summer activities...Six Flags...we're bumming now since it's only open on weekends for the the fall schedule. On our way out of the park the boys found the water fountains and played until lips were blue and quivering...of course we didn't have a change of clothes for them so Dane was shirtless & Drake rode home in style...in a diaper.

Drake's 1st b-day

Once again...we've been busy. We went camping for my birthday over the weekend of the 11th. We sweated as the temperatures were in the high 90's, low 100's. We brought our jeep and I had great intentions of taking pictures of the boys in the jeep in their little carseats...guess who forgot the camera :(
So anyway, last weekend we celebrated Drake's 1st birthday. Next weekend we'll be celebrating Andy's birthday and then the following weekend (Labor Day weekend) we'll be celebrating Dane's 3rd birthday. And the guess what...the next weekend is our wedding anniversary...we get Christmas twice a year in our family...enjoy the slide show....

Other random shots include our good friends, John and Jessica, coming from KC to visit with their daughter, Grace. Her and Drake shared a spot at the table for lunch together; everything is fair game on the table as long as little hands can reach it! I don't think I've ever seen such a mess at one table with 3 kids in high chairs...and I waitressed for many years. I must admit, I was on the floor picking up enough food to feed another table before we left...part of life as a mommy. *smile*

sleepy time

While I was writing the previous entry both boys were laying in bed quietly...kind of...you know how they talk or coo themselves to sleep. And actually I had to go upstairs once to Dane's room because I kept hearing "noises". As I walked in he was running back to his bed. We changed his crib into the toddler bed yesterday since last Friday when I went to check on him he was hurrying to crawl back into his bed...so for his own safety (not my sanity) we put him in a bed he can get in and out of easier...what the heck are we thinking?

So anyway, they both fell asleep and I took some cute pictures...and T-Bone was laying in his bed as I walked by and I got one of him too...noone is safe when mom's got her camera out!

Busy Busy Busy!

We have had a busy few weeks and since there's so many pictures I want to share, I'm just going to do it in a slide presentation...sounds professional doesn't it?

We went to Grant's farm with Emily and her kids (Heather, Matthew and Lucy) and endured a thunderstorm with heavy down pour. We got soaked and after the rain we got wet from the bottom up; Dane and I raced to puddles and splashed in them. I must say, having these boys has definitely brought the kid out in me again. Then Dane fed the goats and they nibbled on his shirt, that's when he dropped the bottle and reached me to hold and rescue him.

We also went to a Cardinal's game with Andy's company. They had a picnic catered in and had all kinds of kid things before the game...Dane shared his popsical with Drake and Daddy served as a work mule at the end of the night when both boys got tired and needed a lift to the car! In the middle of all of this Dane is potty training (and doing very well *smile*) and last but not least, we've got a 100+ degree heat wave going on right now, so Dane had a picnic with Bear in our living room this morning. You know it's hot when I fill up their pool and by 11am I have to add more cold water and even Dane says, "Mommy, I don't want to play outside." No complaints here, it is HOT!
