4 more days!

Uncle Danny and the boys making a gingerbread house:

We had our 1st "snow" yesterday...a mere 1 1/2 inches, but Dane and Drake insisted on sledding. So after playing outside for a while we headed in for hot chocolate and a Christmas special...Dane pulled an "Andy" and fell alseep half way through.

Dane performed this morning at church. He did great and belted out the song at the 9:15am service. Dane cried during the 10:30 service performance because the kids waited on stage in front of everyone to perform for a long time. He said he "got freaked out." He watched his friends perform with us and clapped for them when they were done. He's singing again at the Christmas eve service.

Our traditional family Christmas photo in front of the tree at our church.

Have a very Merry Christmas and happy Birthday Jesus.

Getting ready for Christmas

Andy had a boys' night out...they (Dane, Drake and Andy ) dressed up, went out to eat, went to a movie and then got this picture...a great night had by all! Andy wants to make it a weekly event...Again, fine by all. Our 2009 Santa Picture:

Though both boys dress up with the costumes I find every year on clearance, Drake still usually chooses superman (his Halloween costume) Here they are after helping me decorate our tree.

We also made an attempt to make a Gingerbread Christmas tree...in the past our ginger breadhouse was lopsided so I thought I'd try something new. Maybe we should try the gingerbread house again! Every once in a while I catch Dane sneaking candy off of it...yuck.

Here is life with "D" Boys....Dane threw a beanie baby kitty from our balcony and it landed on our ceiling fan in our great room. He comes in and tells me what he did and Drake is noticably upset (this just happens to be the kitty he carries around and sleeps with, well not anymore!) The cat is stuck in the fan. Here's the close up from the balcony about 12 feet away.

and here's the one from below...I don't know how Dane got it up there, I think he was aiming to, well really I don't know what he was aiming to do.

Andy's response...turn the fan on high and make it fling off...that didn't work. We all watched from below as it spun faster and faster. Andy's 2nd response..."well, we needed to buy scaffolding anyway to change that lightbulb." Hmmm, I like his way of thinking; I want some new clothes, guess I'll buy that mall I've been dreaming about heading to lately! Just kidding, Andy *smile*

By the way, the kitty is still up there (2 weeks and holding) and Drake is now carrying around a new kitty he got the night of Boys Night Out.
