2nd round of birthdays (Andy & Dane)

Andy had a quiet birthday at home.  We celebrated the weekend prior since his big day was during the week.  He now has a smoker with different kinds of wood chips to suit whatever mood he's in; I'm excited to taste our first smoked meat.

Dane also had his 8th birthday.  His party was the day prior to his big day.
It was at a pool, but it rained; though no one seemed to care.  There was 20+ kids there, so it was a big hit.
I enjoy watching all the kids being excited to see his gifts and waiting patiently for him to open "theirs".

Dane's actual birthday was on Sunday and he loves Denny's.  So as much as I don't care for Denny's we went there after church.  Here he is excited about his DS-I.  And Drake was equally excited, though he received his own game-system for his birthday 2 weeks prior.

Dane requested a train shaped cake.  Why?  Because I can't decorate it.  So I bought extra icing and just caked it on...can't go wrong with that, right?  We were at our friends' (Kirke & Lisha's) for a bon-fire/bbq party and we gladly shared the "masterpiece" with all the other kids.

Andy and I and our friends, Susie and Kevin, were in a golf tournament through our church.  Our company sponsored us.  It was loads of fun, good lunch & dinner and a "little" bit of beer.

Andy & I also sponsored a hole.  We do every year, but this is the first time we actually played in the tournament, so we'd never seen it before.
