Happy & Sad times

We've had lots of things happen in the past few weeks. Andy's Aunt Dorothy passed away and it was truly a blessing to know her. This wasn't one of those funerals where everyone is sad, because noone doubted her faith in God and she expressed her readiness to be with God and out of pain. Following her funeral we went back to her house and had a mini family reunion. It was then that we set up another (not revolving around a wedding or funeral) for later this summer. Can't wait. More big news: I quit my job at the private practice. I only have a couple more days there. Since I only work Tuesday and Saturday it won't be too hard to close those cases, though a couple will stay open through their court dates in the fall. What am I going to do with my time?....Work with Andy in OUR rapidly growing company. With 9 employees there is a lot of work to keep me busy with here at home and on my own time. Saturday our subdivision had a Pig Roast and had the usual blow-up jumpie slide thingie. One of our neighbors in our subdivision always provides that for the children during our family events. We really have wonderful neighbors and a great subdivision . This was Drake's 1st time in it.

Here's a couple fun pics of us at Grant's Farm last weekend after church.
On the way:

Dane wouldn't go into the goat pen this time, "They stink." he said.

Everyone was distracted by the horse in front of us moving except for Andy. I should be used to not everyone looking in pictures by now.
Monday we played in the pool and then while they dried off they played on the trains we set up outside.

Tonight we're going to watch Barnyard at an outside theatre. It starts at 8:45pm (when it gets dark). This should be interesting since Drake goes to bed at around 8:30pm and Dane lays down around 9pm. *smile* Oh, and next Thursday we are taking the Train to Chicago for 5 days! I haven't been there with our boys, but I've already got a list in my mind of things I want to do with them. Ever since our train trip to Hermann, Dane has been asking about riding the BIG train again. Let's see how excited he is after 5 hours on it!

Another wonderful week

We have been absolutely crazy busy...I keep the boys busy...it's makes for better naps and sleep at night and I can actually start my work-out at 7am and be fairly certain they'll sleep until I'm done.

So in addition to our regular evening trips to Six Flags and walks before bed, Andy set up our projector outside on our garage so we could have movie night outside like a drive through. The flash from the camera takes away from the picture, but it was really good. He had the computer speakers all set up and we watched the "Bee Movie" while eating popcorn. In my opinion the only thing missing was the licorice. *smile*

And here's some fun pictures of the boys: Dane helping me make the dessert of the week and them taking turns being the "baby".
