Appendectomy, AGAIN!
No, not Andy; his appendectomy was in August. This was my sister's. Her appendix burst and had an appendectomy on Christmas. I'm currently in Virginia taking care of her. The doctor released her from the hospital today with drainage tubes and 5 prescriptions to keep track of. Sharon is well and healing here on the east coast.
The other part of the story here is that my amazing and selfless husband cancelled his trip to Florida (a guys trip over New Years to ride Harley's on the beach) so he could stay home and manage our business and be with our boys so I could help my sister. AND he did it without even telling me first. He just came home and told me I needed to fly out there and that he'd already called and cancelled. Words will never be able to explain how much he gave up (he loves Harleys and one of our fondest memories is riding along the beach in Maui).
