The joys of raising Dane & Drake.

The animals are loose!

Dane was a giraffe and Drake was a monkey...he's too young to object to wearing hand-me-down outfits (Dane was a monkey when he was 2)...and I broke my rule of not paying a rediculous price for a halloween coustume because it's only worn once and the next one may not want to wear it, blah, blah, blah....Dane insisted on being a giraffe...we tried everything, whatever we could find at the many stores we searched. I finally found a lion and suggested that since he's the KING of the jungle he should consider being a big, strong lion..."No, lions are mean, I want to be a giraffe." Argue with THAT logic! So I went on-line and paid an outrageous price and when he asked if he could wear it every day for 2 weeks before Halloween, I said YES! And on Thanksgiving if he wants to be a giraffe, I'll let him!

Over-all Dane went trick-or-treating 5 times and Drake 4 times...I'm going to start selling our candy stash in bulk on e-bay. And it's the good candy, not just little dum dums or candy corns...in case you're interested in bidding *wink wink*

I didn't take pictures of the Halloween party at our church for the choir kiddos and Dane went on a field trip with his school to a local nursing home and trick-or-treated. I think there's enough below...

Here's a "few" pics of Boo at the Zoo. Our friends Bill and Mary and their daugther, Aspen, (the kangaroo with a little joey in her pouch) joined us.

Hey, give us that bag so everyone will look at the camera...

Dane, turn around...

numerous shots later, say cheeeeese!

WAY past nap time...

We also did Trunk or Treat at our subdivision. Because each house in our subdivision sits on a minimum of 3 acres it's nearly impossible to hit each house on Halloween. Se we decorate our trunks and trunk or treat the Saturday prior to Halloween.

And because we didn't have enough candy from that weekend, on Halloween we went to our old subdivision with our previous neighbors/friends and did the hayride around that subdivision.
