Merry Christmas

Wow, has this been an exciting year: Adding another son to our family and breaking ground on our new home. We also have 2 dogs (T-Bone and Zeke) and a cat (Tabitha) that hopefully will get some type of spotlight in this blog too.

Now about "D" boys:

Dane is 2 years 4 months and is full of energy. He is crazy about trains and cars and balls of all sorts. He counts, but it's as follows: 1 2 3 ....long pause...7 8 9. I can hear him in the other room through our monitor as he practices. He also reads books to his bear and when I sneak up on him he'll be sitting in his rocker reading to his bear or laying on his belly on the floor next to his bear. Right now, he's on daddy's lap watching Thomas the Train before bed.

Drake is 4 months old. He sleeps through the night (until 5 or 6am) about every 3rd night. The other nights he eats and then falls right back to sleep. He is getting really interactive and is lots of fun. His favorite things right now are his fist to chew on (he's teething) and his pacifier. I think if he had his way, he'd sleep in our arms for every nap, but that's a habit we are trying (successfully) to break.

Andy is husband and daddy! (though he's not one of my sons, is one of my "boys") And is wonderful at both. He isn't as fortunate as me (he works 5 days/week), though when he is home his time is spent wrestling, reading, playing and being daddy. He waits until Dane's nap to go work on the house on the weekends. Some evenings he works there too, though his real work won't start until the drywall is up and taped...in the next week or so.
